Nurse-led, clinically informed supported living for adults with complex needs across South Wales.

Complex & High-Needs Support

Specialist Support for Complex Needs

Some people need more than standard support. We provide specialist, nurse-led packages for adults with dual diagnosis, risk behaviours and complex presentations, designed around each individual.

Our Experience

Decades of Experience with Complex Presentations

We are experienced in supporting individuals with complex presentations, including histories of placement breakdown, high anxiety, self-injury, aggression, absconding risks, and long-term hospital admissions.

For many of the people we support, previous placements haven’t worked out. Our job is to be the placement that does: stable, structured, and planned around the person from day one.

The People We Support

Supporting Adults With Complex Needs Through Specialist, Person-Centred Care

Dual Diagnosis

Specialists in Dual Diagnosis

Many of the people we support live with a learning disability alongside additional mental health needs, sometimes referred to as dual diagnosis.

It’s the area our family has worked in for decades, from treatment assessment units and continuing healthcare to community services, with nearly 100 years of combined learning disability and mental health nursing between us.

That background means we understand both sides of the picture: the clinical presentation and the person behind it. Support plans reflect the whole individual, not one diagnosis at a time.

How We Support

Positive Behaviour Support at the Core

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is the foundation of everything we do. Every person we support has a PBS plan: a comprehensive, living document that works as one big risk assessment, taking into account behaviours, triggers, communication, routines and goals.

Trauma-Informed Care

Many of the people we support carry difficult histories. Trauma-informed care is woven into every PBS plan, with staff trained to understand what makes someone feel unsafe and to get ahead of it.

Functional Assessment

Before any plan is written, we carry out a functional assessment to understand each behaviour: what drives it, what it communicates, and what the person needs instead.

Data Behind Every Decision

Behaviour charts, incident reviews and the ABC model mean strategies are based on evidence, reviewed continuously, and adjusted as the person grows.

Cimla Court

An Environment Built for Feeling Safe

Complex needs are best supported in the right setting. Our home, Cimla Court, is low-arousal, predictable and structured, with personalised spaces, consistent routines and sensory considerations built in. And because a home should feel like a home, all of it is delivered in a warm, homely setting rather than a clinical one.

Consistent staffing and trusting relationships do the rest. When people feel safe and know they belong, the environment itself becomes therapeutic: fewer crisis points, less distress, and room to grow.
