FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

What level of complexity can Bold Cymru support?

We specialise in adults with complex and high-dependency needs, including dual diagnosis, behaviours that challenge, trauma histories, and individuals transitioning from long-term inpatient or unsuitable placements. We are not a generic support provider. Our service is designed specifically for individuals who require a clinically informed, specialist approach.

Each referral is reviewed promptly and we aim to respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible. Assessment timelines will vary depending on the complexity of the individual’s needs and compatibility with our current service, but we will always keep you informed throughout the process.

Supported living means the individual holds their own tenancy and receives tailored support within their own home, promoting greater independence and choice. At Bold Cymru, we are passionate about giving people their own space and supporting them to live as independently as possible within the community, rather than placing them in a traditional residential setting.

Our approach is rooted in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), trauma-informed care, and Positive Behavioural Management (PBM), a BILD-accredited framework co-developed by members of our leadership team. Rather than reacting to behaviours, we focus on understanding the function behind them and building environments where individuals feel safe, understood, and empowered. Our goal is always to reduce restrictive practices, not rely on them.
